These are long months, too long closed within the walls of the house. He waited endlessly just to buy a pair of pantyhose at the shop down the street.
Then the mind gets lost in a daydream and the ray of sunshine passing through a small crack at the bottom of the window becomes a warm day in early summer.
The garden is in bloom and all around is an explosion of colors. A dip in the pool, the water is clear and slips away from the body in a whirlwind of freshness. Under the sun, the skin stretches and gradually becomes bronze.
Time is here and now, and the rest fades into a dimension of a distant world. I don’t know how long this illusion lasted, but I don’t care.
Summer is near and the dream will soon be reality.
